A dedication ceremony was held in honor of fallen U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations Special Agent (Maj.) Adrianna M. Vorderbruggen at Hurlburt Field, Fla., Oct. 13, 2017. A pavilion was erected at the Soundside in memoriam of Vorderbruggen and the impact she left on all who knew her after she was killed in action in Afghanistan Dec. 21, 2015.

Air Commandos with the 1st Special Operations Wing hosted retired U.S. Air Force Col. John Hester and retired Tech. Sgt. Paul Cartter during a memorial plaque unveiling ceremony at here, Oct. 14. A plaque was dedicated to the three Air Commandos who died in the Jan. 9, 1984, 44 Alpha crash during Operation Bahamas, Antilles and Turks. The 20th Special Operations Squadron played a key role out of Hurlburt Field in OPBAT as part of Vice President George H.W. Bush’s south Florida Drug Enforcement Task Force.
