The Aderholt and Riptide Fitness centers are now offering six new fitness classes at different times throughout the week.

The interactive classes were added to keep Air Commandos healthy, active and fit.

“More classes were added at different locations for those with busy schedules,” said Airman Morgan Clark, 1st Special Operations Force Support Squadron fitness specialist. “If there is a certain class that someone would like to attend but their schedule won’t allow them to, they have other options.”

The new classes range from intense core workouts such as 30-minute Cardio and Core to relaxing, stress-relieving classes like Pi Yo, a class combining Pilates and yoga.

“Offering a variety of classes gives everyone an opportunity to stay fit, no matter their fitness level,” said BJ Bentley, 1st SOFSS fitness director. “Fitness is an important part of being an Air Commando; they have to be ready at any time. With the new classes, the plan is to help them find a workout that caters to their fitness ability, while improving their overall fitness.”

Fitness specialists will be leading the classes with different routines in hopes to bring diversity and fun to the workouts.

“We hope to boost morale, while offering more for people who want to get fit and stay fit,” Airman 1st Class Lizette Molina, 1st SOFSS fitness specialist, said.

All 1st SOFSS fitness specialists attended a 2-day Tactical Conditioning Program, certifying them to conduct training for group classes at the fitness centers, as well as group Physical Training sessions for squadrons.

The 1st SOFSS fitness specialists are available to lead group PT sessions for any Hurlburt squadron. To book a fitness specialist call the Aderholt Fitness Center.

“We are doing whatever it takes to get Hurlburt to a 100% PT passing rate,” said Bentley.
