1st Special Operations Maintenance Group

The 1st Special Operations Maintenance Group is one of the Air Force's largest maintenance groups and is composed of highly qualified Air Commandos from the 1st Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 1st Special Operations Component Maintenance Squadron, 1st Special Operations Equipment Maintenance Squadron, 1st Special Operations Helicopter Maintenance Squadron, 1st Special Operations Maintenance Operations
Squadron, and the 1st Special Operations Maintenance Squadron. Through the combined efforts of these squadrons, the group supports the AC-130U Spooky, AC-130H Spectre, CV-22 Osprey, MC-130H Combat Talon II, MC-130P Combat Shadow, MC-130W, and MH-53J/M PAVE LOW III/IV aircraft that make up the wing's inventory. The group accomplishes the wing's mission by meeting key objectives: mobilizing personnel, equipment and supplies; training maintenance personnel; and sustaining combat readiness capabilities. The aircraft generation, helicopter generation, component repair, maintenance, and equipment maintenance squadrons stand ready when on- and off-equipment, organizational- or intermediate-level maintenance is necessary--Any Time, Any Place!
