1st Special Operations Aerospace Medicine Squadron

Mission
The 1st Special Operations Aerospace Medicine Squadron (SOAMDS) accomplishes global special operations taskings as an Air Force component member of US Special Operations Command. The unit promotes and maintains health for 15.4K beneficiaries divided amongst 4 groups, 25 squadrons, and 39 partner units. Personnel ensure maximum wartime readiness via deployment medicine, aircrew health care, disease prevention, wellness promotion, medical readiness, workspace/environmental surveillance, battlefield airmen medical support, and collaborative and operational relevant research.
