901st Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

Mission
The 901st Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron's mission is to organize, train, and equip Airmen to perform high-quality aircraft maintenance in order to provide safe and mission-effective aircraft supporting home-station and contingency taskings. The unit supports training and worldwide special operations missions for the MC-130H Talon II supporting the 15th and 19th Special Operations Squadrons. The squadron is comprised of more than 296 active-duty Airmen and 7 Department of Defense civilians. Maintenance performance includes aircraft servicing, phase inspections, troubleshooting, repair, modifications, and launch and recovery for all aircraft. The squadron also maintains administrative control of the 1st Special Operations Maintenance Group’s Maintenance Operations and Group Staff agencies. These 127 active-duty Airmen are responsible for all maintenance formal training, statistical analysis, plans and scheduling, conducts initial/recurring weapons load training and flightline weapons inspections, on- and off-equipment quality assurance and the maintenance operations control center to support 9 weapon systems and over 1,900 personnel.
