AND

Exhibit one or more of the eight major types of waste:

  1. The process routinely produces defects
  2. The process produces more than anyone needs
  3. People, paperwork, or parts spend excessive time waiting
  4. The process does more than anyone needs or cares about
  5. Material gets needlessly moved around a lot
  6. The process does not take advantage of an individual's specialized skills or knowledge
  7. People spend excessive amounts of time walking around
  8. The process creates large amounts of inventory that end up sitting for long periods of time
