716th Maintenance Squadron patch
716th Maintenance Squadron emblem significance: Blue represents the sky, the primary theater of Air Force operations. Yellow signifies the sun and the excellence required of Air Force personnel. A full moon signifies the unit's commitment and mastery of night environment skills once feared by early warriors, now a medium of choice. The two stars to the left reflect the unit's parent commands; the single star on the right, the unified war fighting command for which the unit must remain eternally prepared to provide lightning response. The Phoenix, of Greek and Egyptian mythology, symbolizes immortality and life after death. The dagger amplifies AFSOC and its commitment to provide selfless service "anytime...anywhere" with old world values of honor, dedication, and chivalry.
