SOSVS, SOMSS combine forces
Col. Mike Smietana, 1st Special Operations Mission Support Group commander, and Maj. Paul Swenson, former 1st Special Operations Services Squadron commander, retire the 1st SOSVS guidon during a ceremony June 20. The ceremony officially marked the merger of the 1st SOSVS and the 1st Special Operations Mission Support Squadron, and the creation of the 1st Special Operations Force Support Squadron. Maj.
