Hurlburt responds to 40-acre wildfire

A wildfire burns underbrush on Eglin Range, Florida, Jan. 31, 2026. The fire was pushed south by winds up to 40 mph, burning approximately 40 acres of land. The 1st Special Operations Wing worked alongside Florosa Fire Control District and Eglin’s Wildland Support Module to extinguish the fire before it could reach homes in the area. (Courtesy Photo)
