Airmen and civilians from Hurlburt Field and Eglin Air Force Base participated in a Conflict Management Coaching workshop at the base chapel on Hurlburt Field, Fla., Feb. 11-12.

The two-day workshop, sponsored by the Air Force Special Operations Command, is a pilot program aimed at assessing potential benefits across the Air Force.

"Conflict management is more of a way of dealing with conflict and making it a better experience,"  said Cinnie Noble, a conflict management consultant. "It deals with intrapersonal disputes, helping to solve conflict at the lowest level possible."

The workshop provided attendees with knowledge and skills to provide conflict management in one-on-one sessions.

"Conflict isn't necessarily a negative thing", said Chief Master Sgt. Marcus Snoddy, command chief of Eglin's 96th Test Wing. "The Conflict Management Coaching workshop gives supervisors tools to understand sources of conflict."
