Hurlburt Field Open House cancelled due to weather Published April 19, 2012 1st Special Operations Wing Public Affairs HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. - -- The Hurlburt Field Open House, scheduled for April 21, has been cancelled due to thunderstorms projected for Saturday. Lightning would create an unacceptable safety concern for visitors attending the event on the Hurlburt Field flightline. Although the event has been cancelled for the weekend, base officials are working to determine a future date to reschedule the open house.
