Hurlburt Facility Relocation Public Notification Published Feb. 18, 2011 HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. -- In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act, Hurlburt Field announces the availability of a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Draft Finding of No Significant Impact/Finding of No Practicable Alternative (FONSI/FONPA) for Relocation of Facilities at Hurlburt Field, Florida, for public review and comment. The Proposed Action involves the relocation of several existing facilities and an exercise area at Hurlburt Field to accommodate projected installation growth, improve organizational functionality, and increase land-use compatibility in support of existing and future mission requirements. Your comments on this Draft EA are requested. Letters and other written or oral comments provided may be published in the Final EA. As required by law, comments will be addressed in the Final EA and made available to the public. Any personal information provided, including private addresses, will be used only to identify your desire to make a statement during the public comment period or to compile a mailing list to fulfill requests for copies of the Final EA or associated documents. However, only the names and respective comments of respondent individuals will be disclosed; personal home addresses and phone numbers will not be published in the Final EA. Copies of the Draft EA and Draft FONSI/FONPA are available for review on the web at http://www2.hurlburt.af.mil/library/index.asp under the "Hurlburt Field Environmental Documents" link.
