Why did you join the Air Force?
I needed a job.

How does your Air Force specialty contribute to the mission?
As a mission planner, I plan and oversee exercises and missions involving the 1st SOW and other special operations forces. As a loadmaster, I ensure all missions are conducted safely on the aircraft.

If you were Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force for one day, how would you change the Air Force?
I'd change the Enlisted Performance Review system to focus more on a person's job performance and less on off-duty activities.

What's your favorite thing about Hurlburt Field?
It's the missions that we support.

What do you like most about being an Airman?
I like working with other units and services and learning how they do things.

What motivates you at work?
Getting the job done.

Why was he selected?
"Sergeant Stehn sustains excellent efforts above and beyond his normal duties. Always focused and energized, he provides invaluable planning support to the 1st SOW's highest priority missions and is a superior Air Force ambassador to the joint community. He recently was singled out to deploy as a junior senior enlisted advisor for our National Mission Force. He exemplifies the Air Force's core value of service before self."
