Why did you join the Air Force?
I joined solely to travel the world.

How does your Air Force specialty contribute to the mission?
Finance not only funds the fight but takes care of members' pay matters so they can focus on the mission.

What's your favorite thing about Hurlburt Field?
The direct contribution to the mission can be felt by every member of Hurlburt Field.

What do you like most about being an Airman?
I like being able to go on incentive flights.

What's one thing you wish you were told before joining the Air Force?
You will deploy no matter what your job is. After being on-station for four months at my first base, I was tasked to deploy for third country national duty.

In the mornings, it's coffee. And not to sound cliché, but I take pride in knowing that I can make an impact in people's lives. What I do gets people paid. Money is personal.

Who are your heroes/role models?
People who can balance all their work and home life.

Any advice to others?
Constantly monitor your LES.

Why was she selected?
"Senior Airman Abling goes far beyond the call to ensure that customers are met by a courteous professional. Her leadership and dedication to the mission exemplifies what it means to be an Air Commando."
