Why was Tech. Sgt. Cubas selected?
"During the 2010 ORI and Haiti earthquake response operations, Tech. Sgt. Cubas personally led his team in deploying more than 200 personnel and nearly 1000 tons of cargo on more than 80 sorties originating from Hurlburt Field. His exceptional initiative, innovation, professional efforts and teamwork resulted in him being recognized as one of only five "Superior Performers" by the Air Force Special Operations Command Inspector General. Tech. Sgt. Cubas epitomizes the Air Commando ethos and is truly worthy of this recognition." - Senior Master Sgt. Howard Wescott, 1st SOLRS 1st Sergeant
