The Hurlburt Field Chapel hosted a Clergy Day for 29 off-base clergymen from the local area Nov. 16.

The visit was geared toward familiarizing the clergymen with the Air Force Special Operations Command mission and the role chaplains play in the Airmen's day-to-day lives.

"We wanted to make the pastors aware that we need their help with helping our Airmen," said Chaplain (Capt.) Anthony Pantlitz, event organizer.

One of the tour highlights was a static display and mission briefing on the CV-22 Osprey courtesy of Lt. Col. Ted Corallo, 8th Special Operations Squadron commander.

"I'll be talking about the CV-22 for quite a while," said Martin Fancher, one of the tour group members. "What a nice piece of machinery, maybe next time we can get a ride!"

The tour culminated with Lt. Gen. Michael Wooley, AFSOC commander, speaking during the Faith in the Foxhole, a faith-based luncheon at the chapel.

"I believe the sprit of cooperation was seen and felt by all present," Pastor Fancher said. "I also believe there is a strong desire by the community ministers present to help our military chaplain brothers work with our men and women in uniform in the communities where they, and we, live and worship."
