Our ability to project and underline the critical strengths of our warriors is a major key to their resilience under pressure - and to their focus and judgment both on and off duty.

At the most recent Commando Rally, you heard about the "13 Critical Attributes of Air Force Special Operations Command Success," as identified by our most experienced warriors. We also talked about setting positive expectations and the goals our people strive for in their service to this nation - and to each other.

One of the tools we discussed, the first in a series of 13 posters, is available for local unit pick up at the Hurlburt Field Public Information Center.

Overseas special operations groups will receive them by mail. The next 12 attribute posters will roll out on a monthly basis. We will pursue additional methods of dissemination for this important information.

My intent is for you to aggressively and creatively use this information as a tool for the strengthening of our forces.

The more our young men and women understand about AFSOC's high standards, the more high standard behaviors we will see. The clearer the picture they have of the ladder of AFSOC success, the faster they will move to more responsible rungs on that ladder.

Each commander should:
· Ensure everyone in their unit understands the meaning and personal value of these attributes.
· Display information about these attributes prominently so everyone can think about them.
· Blend their own style and methods into dissemination of these standards and expectations. Personal leadership style will greatly enhance the message for our people.
· In the press of daily business, you may occasionally underestimate the influence you personally have on the hearts and minds of our people. Personally, I believe you have tremendous positive influence - and these tools will further enhance those positive effects.
