16 CS pulls plug on 4 SOS Published Oct. 6, 2006 By Jamie Haig 16 SOW Public Affairs HURLBURT FIELD, Fla -- 16th Communications Squadron overtook the 4th Special Operations Squadron team in men's intramural flag football Monday in a one-sided battle, winning 28-0. Within the first 10 minutes, Comm scored three touchdowns and completed two of the extra points, bringing the early score to 20-0. Eric Harmon brought in two of the touchdowns and Marcial Grinolds the scored the third. Just before the half-time break, the 4th SOS quarterback fumbled the ball into the end zone resulting in a safety, bringing the score to 22-0. Rejuvenated, the 4th SOS came back strong in the second half but still allowed the Comm quarterback and returning coach, Kevin Davis, to score the final touchdown of the night, resulting in a final score of 28-0. "We found holes in their defense and took advantage of them," said Davis. "That and a few interceptions in the first half made it easy." The win bettered Comm's record to 2-1.
