HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. -- Hurlburt Field’s women’s varsity softball team played hostess Saturday for a four-team round-robin tournament on the diamonds behind the Aderholt Fitness Center.
Teams from Keesler, Tyndall and the home team participated. Hurlburt’s squad divided into two teams, augmented by players from a local off-base team.

The team of entirely base players tripped in two of the three games, falling to the split squad teammates 15-11 and again to Tyndall 15-6.

The Commandos beat Keesler 12-8.

Their coach is Terry Perkins and, to build up game experience, they play in the Niceville City League.

In their five games in the Niceville City League, the Commandos have out-scored opponents 103 runs to just 12.

They have nine games remaining.
