Hurlburt members participated in a Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Enhancement seminar from Aug. 26 to Aug. 29, here.

NCOPE's overall objective is to reinstate the charges taken by supervisors and to continue developing sound supervision for the Air Force's future.

"NCOPE is an Air Force wide standardized program which is designed to augment and reinforce information taught in basic military training, tech school, ancillary training, PME and job experience," said SMSgt Scott Reed, Hurlburt Field Career Assistance Advisor.

The course highlights team building, mentoring, writing skills, enlisted-heritage, and many other core supervisory skills. The curriculum is composed by a team of Senior Non-Commissioned Officers.

"This is a total team effort from our SNCOs at Hurlburt Field," said Reed. "I couldn't put such an outstanding program together without the SNCO facilitator's support."

The NCOPE seminar is a professional military education refresher; mandatory for NCOs who haven't attended PME for at least three years. The course also introduces some new material to the participants. Students attend the three and a half day seminar between completing Airman Leadership School and the start of Non-Commissioned Officer Academy.

"This seminar will recharge the battery of our young NCO tier and reconfirm the importance of their leadership in today's Air Force and how it impacts tomorrow's leaders," said Reed.
