The 3rd Annual CLEAR Challenge is scheduled to take place at 7 a.m. at the Community Park on Hurlburt Field, Fla., April 17.

The CLEAR challenge is an obstacle course that is designed to raise awareness in the fight against sexual assault and showcase team resiliency. CLEAR stands for: Courage, Leadership, Education, Advocate, and Respect.

“I spoke a little about one of my secrets to success: participation. I'd like to challenge you to participate in the CLEAR Challenge on April 17,” said Col. Sean Farrell, 1st Special Operations Wing commander. “The event includes a physical challenge, but more importantly, it supports the cause of raising awareness about the fight against sexual assault.”

The Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affairs Committee will host a Military Appreciation barbeque in conjunction with the challenge from 11-2 p.m. at the park and will also be giving away prizes.

For more information about the CLEAR challenge email Senior Airman Rayna Yamamoto to sign up and the Hurlburt Airman’s Voice Council email org box to volunteer.
