Air Commandos,

This holiday season we need you to be more aware than ever. Today, in our community, you cannot be too cautious. Recent current events have shown us that vigilance is more important than ever. If something does not seem right, you have to act. Your actions could prevent a threat. It is your responsibility as an Air Commando to look out for each other and our neighbors outside the gate.

Here are some tips we want you to keep in mind as we start the holiday season:

- De-activate your geo-location on your smart phone to prevent others from knowing where you currently are, especially if you are on vacation.

- Be mindful of who is around you when discussing plans with families, friends, and co-workers when in public places.

- Inform your children about best practices.

- If traveling away from home, ensure you are aware of the local threats and travel restrictions in that specific area; CONUS and OCONUS

- Mexico and Europe currently have restrictions (contact your unit ATR)

- Avoid vulnerable situations such as mass gatherings in a public place.

- Ensure your social media groups are secured if you plan on posting location, date and time of your unit's holiday parties on social media.

- Don't post vacation pictures until you return home.

- Lock down your social media: report any suspicious friend requests to Eagle Eye at 884-6102.

- Be aware of your surroundings and if something looks or feels suspicious, report it to Eagle Eye; i.e., being followed, unidentified packages/bags, etc.
