It is with great pleasure that I echo Lt. Gen. Heithold’s announcement that Hurlburt Field has received honorable mention for the 2016 Commander in Chief’s Installation Excellence Award. I couldn’t be prouder to serve at your side.

It is impressive what you guys do, day in and day out. You are getting after the mission and making us look good. We have over 8,000 of the Air Force’s finest Airmen stationed here at Hurlburt Field that are always working to create an environment for fellow Airmen and families to thrive, as well as fulfilling our obligation to provide combat ready forces across the globe.

As the most deployed wing in the Air Force, we specialize in taking the mission to the enemy. Even with a deployment tempo like ours, we are still able to innovate, modernize and sustain, and transform training for successful operations. Every day, our Air Commandos get after it, and I can’t thank you enough for your tireless effort for the cause.

It is because of your dedication that Hurlburt Field has received honorable mention for the prestigious Commander in Chief’s Installation Excellence Award. Without every one of you, and what each of you brings to the fight every day, this would not have been possible. This award exemplifies the caliber of Air Commando that the United States Special Operations Command gets when they “dial up” the 1st Special Operations Wing.

As we press on, we will continue to deliver the best AFSOC has to offer. Thank you again for your service, and congratulations on this feat.
