Diamond Sharp Airmen

Col. James Slife, 1st Special Operations Wing commander, kneels beside Hurlburt Field’s “Diamond Sharp” Airmen for the month of August. This month’s recipients include: Airman 1st Class Matthew Sharrock, 1st Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron, Airman 1st Class Rudy Cantarini, 801st Special Operations Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Senior Airman Robert Manon II, 1st Special Operations Component Maintenance Squadron, and Airman 1st Class Christopher Lewis, 19th Special Operations Squadron. These Airmen are joined by their respective unit first sergeants, Chief Master Sgt. Ray Colon-Lopez, 1 SOW command chief, and local area sponsors. The Diamond Sharp program recognizes Hurlburt Field’s sharpest Airmen in the grades of Airman Basic through Staff Sergeant. Each month, select unit first sergeants have the opportunity to select an exceptional Airman that exhibits outstanding appearance and superb performance in their duties.
