Airmen take on Africans in soccer game
Staff. Sgt. Lawrence Cabusca, 1st Special Operations Squadron Equipment Maintenance Squadron, tries to chase down a Malian player during an Africans vs. Americans soccer game recently in Bamako, Mali. Sergeant Cabusca was in Mali supporting supporting FLINTLOCK, a joint/combined training exercise conducted regularly in the Trans-Saharan region designed to build capacity and foster interoperability among African nations. The soccer game and a corresponding collection of school supplies were part of a humanitarian mission hosted by the deployed Airmen. A crowd of 2,000 watched the Malians win the game 2-0.
