A Malian mob
Lt. Col. Eric Hill, 8th Special Operations Squadron commander, Tech. Sgt. John Jones, Jr., 352nd Special Operations Group, and Capt. Rob Marshall, 8th SOS are enveloped by school children recently in Mali, Africa while making a donation of school supplies and sporting equipment. The Airmen, part of the Joint Special Operations Air Detachment, were in Mali supporting FLINTLOCK, a joint/combined training exercise conducted regularly in the Trans-Saharan region designed to build capacity and foster interoperability among African nations. The JSOAD donated $3,500 worth of supplies to the local school complex, and hosted a soccer game against a group of school children. (U.S. Air Force photo/1st Lt. Lauren Johnson)
