The 1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron hosted a tour for the Fort Walton Beach Police Department at Hurlburt Field, Fla., Nov. 1, 2016. Fuels specialists with the 1st Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron test petroleum samples from aircraft, vehicles and storage facilities to ensure military assets are provided clean gas. Tests can be conducted using the bottle method test which monitors and minimizes contamination in fuel systems by checking sediment levels in samples.
