The 1st Special Operations Security Forces Squadron hosted a tour for the Fort Walton Beach Police Department at Hurlburt Field, Fla., Nov. 1, 2016. The 1st SOSFS hosts a visit when the police department elects new leadership to encourage an open working relationship between the two law enforcement offices so they can continue to share information, resources and training tactics.

Fuel lab keeps 1 SOW engines running
Fuels specialists with the 1st Special Operations Logistics Readiness Squadron test petroleum samples from aircraft, vehicles and storage facilities to ensure military assets are provided clean gas. Tests can be conducted using the bottle method test which monitors and minimizes contamination in fuel systems by checking sediment levels in samples.
