The first air service school was established at Langley Field, Va., Sept. 25, 1920. It later became the Air Corps Tactical School in 1926. The school trained officers in more than 20 areas of military education. The school also functioned as a preparatory school for Air Corps officers who aspired to attend the U.S. Army's Command and General Staff College. (courtesy photo)
