 VINCENT AIRMAN
  LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

Welcome to the Vincent Airman Leadership School (ALS). ALS is your first experience with Professional Military Education, a milestone in your Air Force career. This course will challenge you to discover the duties, responsibilities, and skills you must practice to become a successful Air Force supervisor and leader.

Course Curriculum
The Airman Leadership School (ALS) curriculum is broken down into five units of
instruction that focus on providing senior airmen and staff sergeants with the knowledge, skills, and understanding necessary to succeed as supervisors in the military environment: Leadership Skills, Supervisory Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Communication Skills, and Military Studies.

WELCOME FROM THE COMMANDANT

Congratulations on your selection to attend Airman Leadership School! Your selection indicates you have earned the trust and respect of your commander and supervisors, and that you are ready for increased responsibility. You are about to embark on a 5-week journey that will focus on preparing you for these responsibilities as a leader and growing you as an individual.

The ALS curriculum is designed to prepare you for official supervisor/rater duties in the Air Force. It is very demanding and will occupy most of your time. You will need to mentally prepare yourself for the increased workload that includes heavy reading and homework assignments. You may also have class obligations or activities that require your time outside of duty hours, to include weekends.

Be prepared for the most rewarding training experience in your Air Force career. Come with a good attitude, an open mind, and a willingness to learn, not only the curriculum, but about yourself. The team and I will do all we can to make this an enjoyable experience and are so excited to be part of your journey!
