XCOMM - Forging Airborne Connectivity

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Lucas Gross, an Airborne Mission Network technician assigned to the 1st Special Operations Communications Squadron, attaches an Inertial Reference Unit (IRU) by screwing and locking it into place onto the bottom of an antenna, Aug. 4, 2022 at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The In-Vehicle-Equipment Kit and IRU equipment allows training to be conducted in a classroom setting without the need to step out to work on an aircraft.
