Maintainers restore aircraft for rapid global response
A high-pressure water hose is used to wash an MC-130J Commando II assigned to the 1st Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, Florida, July 2, 2026. As part of the reconstitution process, aircraft returning from deployment undergo thorough washes to remove corrosive contaminants accumulated in harsh operating environments, helping preserve the aircraft's exterior and structural integrity.
