HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. --
The 1st Special Operations Group welcomed a new commander June 17. Here is a little more information about him.
Name/Rank: Col. Tony Bauernfeind
Organization: 1st Special Operations Group
Hometown: Lexington, N.C.
Off-duty time is for: Family, friends and relaxation.
Previous Assignments:
- Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in Arlington, Va.
- RAND Corporation
- Hurlburt Field, Fla.
Organizational Goals:
- Support the current fight with highly-qualified personnel and equipment.
- Be prepared to increase support to ongoing or emerging operations.
- Reinforce our traditional joint relationships and enhance training with joint partners.
