Two Hurlburt racquetball players will represent the Air Force at a national competition in Houston.

Rik Lepine, a captain in the 39th Information Operations Squadron, and Ian Chin, a master sergeant with the 1st Special Operations Maintenance Group, will play at the USA Racquetball's National Singles Competition May 20-26.

Lepine is the team captain, and he has been playing for 25 years. "I put a lot of time into the game," he said. "I really love this game and intend to play as long as possible."

Chin has also been playing for more than 20 years, and he has played at nationals previously.

"I am really excited about this year's competition because an active duty military division has been added for each service," he said.

Airmen on the Air Force racquetball team are selected by a board of professionals and prior captains based on a point system. This year, 15 men and one woman were selected from a pool of active duty applicants from bases world-wide.

This USAR championship is the biggest amateur competition in the states and the winner's are qualified to compete in the U.S. Open, a Pro-Am world-wide competition.
