Brian Blanchfield, deputy director of the officer placement service for the Military Officers Association of America, is an expert on transitioning from military to civilian employment.
He will be at the Hurlburt Field base theater on 9-11:30 a.m. Sept. 24 to speak with military and civilians on career choices after the Air Force.

Mr. Blanchfield introduces the audience to the realities of the competition in the civilian job market, the perceptions civilian employers have of military personnel, a plan for the job search, tips for strengthening a resume, networking plans, preparing for and conducting a successful interview, salary negotiations and benefit packages.

The lecture is presented annually at more than 100 U.S. military bases worldwide.
While all Hurlburt Field personnel and their spouses are invited to attend, participants will find his presentation geared more to active-duty officers and senior NCO's and their spouses.

Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions and will also receive a free gift.
