These are a few points of interest mentioned at the "Commando Warrior Prayer Luncheon" May 1 in Commando Hangar. More than 250 people attended this year's luncheon. The catered barbecue buffet was followed by an uplifting message from speaker Chaplain (Maj. Gen.) Charles Baldwin, Air Force chief of chaplains. "...Ever since Genesis, Chapter 3, when mankind rebelled against God and in Genesis, Chapter 4, when Cain killed his brother Abel, there has been trouble in our world," Chaplain Baldwin said. "I think most people like to pretend there is no trouble, or that trouble is only on a reality show." The chaplain went on to say the ""Survivors" are only playing a game; the "Amazing Race" is not an athletic contest and the contestants on "American Idol" do not come close to the American heroes who step forward in military uniforms to defend the freedom we all hold dear." Military members know about trouble because they are fighting the Global War on Terrorism, said Chaplain Baldwin. "Everyday we accept not only the personal troubles of life, but also the responsibility of national and international trouble each day holds, he said. "We know about trouble and we deal with it everyday."
