One of the best memories Master Sgt. Adonis Martinez, community activity center manager, will bring home from his current deployment is being coined by the chief master sergeant of the Air Force as he toured the deployed base.

Along with good memories, each deployment brings hard work and thoughts of home along with it, as "being away from my wife and children has been the hardest part of this deployment," said Tech. Sgt. Edgard Castillo, mortuary NCO-in-charge.

In the Desert Eagle Lounge, the Manhattan Dining Facility or lodging, or the Grab and Go Flight Kitchen, the Hurlburt Field Services team can be found doing good things for people.

The services slogan says it all, "You work, we work; you play, we work harder." That is what it's all about for the Hurlburt Field SVS team; making things better along the way for the rest of the base and the people to follow.

"Doing the best job we can while we are here and doing what we are trained to do," is what matters to Staff Sgt. Katrina Stone, Grab and Go Flight Kitchen day shift supervisor.

When asked what advice he would give others that will soon deploy, Sergeant Castillo says, "be flexible. New challenges arise daily around the Air Force, but our flexibility and capability to adapt is what makes them attainable."

Keeping this in mind, the SVS team continues to focus on working hard and taking care of the mission with their loved ones always in the back of their minds and the hopes of being home with them soon.
