Team V stomped Team S into submission with a 24 - 0 score during a preseason women's intramural flag football game Sept. 13.

Team V stayed on top of their defensive game all night. They scored two touchdowns in the first half of the game and made several interceptions.

"We played as a team," said Lonnie Ginn, Team V quarterback. "Our offense was exceptional."

The second half of the game played out similar to the first half. They ran the ball for a touchdown twice and racked up an additional 12 points.

Of course, Team S didn't just hand the win over. They wore out Team V with several offensive plays. But, their offense was still no match for Team V's defense.

"We won off of defense alone," said Donell Maple, Team V coach. "We got big plays when we needed them and when it was time for the offense really stepped up when it was time."

The preseason game provided an opportunity for players to hone their skills and work together as a team. The regular season began Monday.
