Airman guilty on four charges Published July 28, 2006 By Airman 1st Class James Dickens 16th SOW Public Affairs HURLBURT FIELD, Fla. -- An Airman assigned to Detachment 3, 342nd Training Squadron pleaded guilty and was convicted July 17 of four different charges under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice. Airman Basic Brian Hart was charged for wrongful use of cocaine, underage drinking and operating a vehicle while in intoxicated. He was also charged with Article 83, which is the specification of fraudulent enlistment, for concealing the fact that he had illegally used a controlled substance before enlisting. The trial ended with Airman Hart being sentenced by Lt. Col. Dixie Morrow, eastern circuit judge, to forfeiture of $884 a month for four months and four months confinement. Maj. John Gilliland and Capt. Michael Boyer, 16th Special Operations Wing judge advocates, prosecuted the case. The Airman was defended by Capt. Jeremy Anderson from Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas.
