Fire Prevention Week engulfs Hurlbut Field
Fire protection members with the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron demonstrate how to strap down a dummy during this year’s Fire Prevention Week fire muster challenge on Hurlburt Field, Fla., Oct. 8, 2015. Sparky the Fire Dog, National Fire Prevention Association spokesdog, and Airmen with the Hurlburt Field Fire Department welcomed Airmen on base, visited Child Development Centers, the base library and other locations around base throughout the week to educate and raise awareness about fire prevention. This year’s theme is “Hear the BEEP, where you SLEEP: Every Bedroom Needs A Working Smoke Alarm!” Fire Prevention Week concluded with a fire muster challenge that was open to Hurlburt Airmen.
