Honor Guard receives top-notch training

Senior Airman Vergel Matheny, Tyndall Air Force Base Honor Guard member, holds a training casket during training at Hurlburt Field, Fla., Oct. 15, 2015. A total of 15 base honor guard members from Hurlburt Field, Eglin AFB and Tyndall AFB, Fla., participated in a seven-day course on proper flag presentation, firing party and pallbearer techniques. The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard mobile training team traveled from Bolling Air Force Base, Washington, D.C., and provided 80 hours of instruction to standardize basic protocol, honors and ceremony procedures Air Force-wide.
