Firearm Policy

A change in privately-owned firearms policy allows qualified law enforcement officers under the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act to conceal carry a privately-owned firearm while on Hurlburt Field once certain requirements are met, effective June 1, 2016. This new policy only applies to Hurlburt Field as each installation commander has been authorized to make changes to the privately-owned firearms policy for their installation. New signs have been posted around Hurlburt Field to designate prohibited areas where privately-owned firearms are be prohibited. (Courtesy photo)
